The Planet Earth is a slimmed-down version of E-MU's Proteus 2000 sound module, offering 64-voice polyphony (vs. the Proteus 2000's 128), 16 MIDI channels, two audio outputs, and no digital output. It ships with the World Expedition expansion ROM as standard, giving it a strong ethnic/world-instrument and percussion focus. It is upgradeable toward full Proteus 2000 specifications via the 9190 Turbo upgrade kit.
