Terms of Service

Last updated: 5 July 2026

These terms are a contract between you and [LEGAL ENTITY]("DVO7", "we", "us") governing your use of dvo7.com. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. What DVO7 is

DVO7 is a subscription-based platform for accessing technical documentation, service manuals, firmware, and repair and studio-management tools for vintage and modern studio equipment. You pay for platform access — search, storage, organization, and tooling — not for individual documents.

2. Your account

  • You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
  • One person or organization per account; do not share paid access to circumvent tiers.

3. Subscriptions & payment

  • Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through Stripe until cancelled.
  • You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the paid period.
  • Prices may change; we will give notice before a change affects you.
  • Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
  • API credits and one-off purchases are consumed as described at the point of purchase.

4. Permitted uses

Materials on DVO7 may be accessed for:

  • Personal equipment repair and maintenance;
  • Educational and research purposes;
  • Archival and preservation;
  • Non-commercial study.

5. Prohibited uses

You may not:

  • Redistribute or resell materials commercially;
  • Claim ownership of copyrighted content, or remove copyright notices;
  • Scrape, bulk-download, or systematically harvest the catalog or API beyond your plan's limits;
  • Attempt to breach security, rate limits, or access controls;
  • Use the service to harm manufacturers or other users, or for anything unlawful.

6. Copyright acknowledgment

All manuals, documentation, and firmware remain the property of their respective owners. DVO7 claims no ownership of third-party copyrighted materials. We operate under fair-use principles (17 U.S.C. § 107), applicable right-to-repair legislation, and the 2024 DMCA repair exemptions, prioritizing discontinued and manufacturer-distributed materials.

7. DMCA & takedowns

We respect intellectual property rights. Copyright holders who believe material infringes their rights may send a takedown notice to our designated agent at [DMCA EMAIL]. Please include: identification of the work, the URL of the material, your contact details, and a good-faith statement. We aim to respond within 48 hours and will remove material on a valid request.

8. User-contributed content

Where the platform lets you post content (discussions, annotations, submissions), you keep ownership of what you post but grant us a license to host and display it on DVO7. You are responsible for what you post and must have the right to post it. We may remove content that violates these terms.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

DVO7 and all materials are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that third-party documentation is accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular repair.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DVO7 is not liable for:

  • Equipment damage during repair attempts;
  • Injury from improper procedures;
  • Inaccuracy of third-party documentation;
  • Commercial or data losses arising from use of the service.

Repairs to electrical equipment carry real risk. If in doubt, consult a qualified technician.

11. Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may close your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data).

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under your local law.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date and, where appropriate, announced. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
