CMI-30A
2011
The Fairlight CMI-30A (2011) is a 30th-anniversary reissue built by Peter Vogel Instruments, combining the classic light-pen-and-monochrome-screen workflow with modern hardware (large drive, DVD-RW, USB). A signature 'goodness' control continuously varies sound quality from authentic Series I/II/III character up to 36-bit floating-point fidelity, and the base system offers 24 tracks. Only 100 units were planned, priced around US$20,000.
