The E-MU Virtuoso 2000 is a rackmount sound module sharing the same technical platform as the Proteus 2000, but loaded with different sound ROMs. It shipped standard with the Orchestral Sessions Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 expansion ROMs, making it E-MU's dedicated orchestral/symphonic instrument module in the Proteus 2000 family. It offers 128-voice polyphony, 50 Z-Plane filters, and 1024 presets.
