SP-12

1985

The E-mu SP-12 (1985) is a sampling drum machine that paired 12-bit user sampling with E-mu's sequencing, succeeding the Drumulator. Its gritty 12-bit converters and feel-oriented sequencing made it a foundational hip-hop and electronic production tool, and the direct predecessor of the SP-1200.
