The E-MU PX-7 Command Station is a Proteus-2000-based command station combining a sample-playback synthesis engine with an MPC-style sequencer. It ships standard with the Protean Drums expansion ROM, providing 128-voice polyphony, Z-Plane filters, and the SuperBEATS performance mode. (Note: the emumania page reuses the XL-7 template description text, stating the engine is the same sample-playback synthesis as the Proteus 2000 with Protean Drums standard.)
