The E-MU Proteus 2500 packs three times the processing power of the Proteus 2000 in a 4-rack-unit chassis. It ships standard with the Proteus Pop Collection expansion ROM, using the same 32MB of samples as the original Composer sound ROM but with an all-new set of 640 presets. Early models shipped with a 512-preset version of the Proteus Pop Collection ROM (labeled P2500).
