The E-MU MP-7 Command Station is an MPC-style desktop sequencer that uses the same sample-playback synthesis engine as the Proteus 2000. Its sound ROM is based on the same sample set as the Pure Phatt, but with 116 different presets. This ROM has more "kits"-type presets, whereas the original Pure Phatt is more "beats" oriented. It pairs an integrated step/pattern sequencer with the Proteus-family Z-Plane synthesis voice architecture.
