Morpheus

1993

The E-MU Morpheus is a Z-plane synthesizer with 8MB of ROM samples comprised of five preset banks. The first three banks are internal, with the last two accessed via the front panel PCMCIA card slot, which accepts either ROM cards or user RAM cards. Each of the five banks contains 128 presets. It is notable for its 197 Z-plane filters that allow real-time morphing between filter shapes for evolving timbres.
