Emulator IV
1994
The Emulator IV (EIV), introduced in 1994, was E-mu's high-end rackmount sampler and the foundation of the EOS (Emulator Operating System) platform. It offered up to 128-voice polyphony, 128 MB of sample RAM, integrated 32-bit effects, and E-mu's Z-plane filtering, with SCSI storage and digital I/O. The EIV architecture evolved into the entire E4 and Ultra family.
