The StamChild SA-670 MK2 is a fully discrete, accurate sounding replica of the Fairchild 670 with added modern features. Two main objectives: the audio path had to remain as close as possible to the original, and the compression curve had to be identical. Features AMI-designed UTC A26 replica input transformers, XL Sowter output transformers, custom step-up transformers, and eighteen tubes (sixteen 6BA6 and two 12AX7 NOS, carefully matched and burned for 72 hours). Adds DC threshold control, high pass filter, dry/wet blend, make-up gain, and true bypass. 6U format. Hand made in Chile.
