The Stam Audio SA-1084 is a recreation of the Neve 1084 microphone preamplifier, the sibling to the legendary 1081 that shares the same preamp stage but with a slightly different EQ section. The 1084 was used extensively in Neve 80 Series consoles and offers the same four-band EQ flexibility as the 1081 with its own subtle character differences. The SA-1084 captures this classic British console sound with authentic transformer-coupled circuitry. This full-size rack unit delivers 80dB of gain with Carnhill transformers and discrete Class AB circuitry, providing the headroom and sonic character that made Neve consoles the standard for professional recording.
