The Stam Audio SA-800G is a sonically identical replica of the legendary Sony C-800G tube microphone. Large dual-diaphragm condenser switching between cardioid and omni polar patterns. Key feature: NOS 6J4P vacuum tube with its own Peltier cooling system for optimal operating temperature, and an all-tube 6AU6-based power supply. Custom US-made capsule based on 1970s K67 backplates with brass rings and nylon screws. Custom Sowter output transformer matching original ratio and frequency response. Power supply tubes burned for 72 hours. Almost noiseless operation. Hand made in Chile.
