The Stam Audio SA-49F is a FET version of the beloved Telefunken M49. Cardioid only, using the same K49 capsule and BV11 transformer replica with clever circuit adjustments to deliver the same character as an original M49 at a fraction of the price. Unlike modern solid-state replicas (TLM), includes the beloved BV11 output transformer critical for the legendary tone. US-made AMI BV11R wound to original Braunbuch specification using custom UI30 laminations. Each capsule individually tested on both sides. Hand made in Chile.
