76-5+
The Stam Audio 76-5+ packs the four most prized revisions of the classic UREI 1176 into a single 500-series module. Using a proprietary relay-based switching matrix, the unit seamlessly switches between Revision A (aggressive mid-range and coloration), Revision D (subtle character and versatility), Revision F (extended top end), and Revision G (no input transformer, like the original) while faithfully respecting each revision's original signal path and schematic. The unit features a Sowter 1260 input transformer (UTC O-12 replica), a US-made 5002 output transformer, a Carnhill output transformer for Rev F, Vishay and Tantalum capacitors, Ohmite carbon resistors, 1% tolerance resistors, and matched selected transistors. Additional features include a super slow attack mod (20ms), a 3-position side-chain high-pass filter, dry/wet mix blend control, and compression ratios of 4:1, 8:1, 12:1, and 20:1 plus all-buttons-in mode. Each unit is handmade in Chile with a 48-hour burn-in and 30-day money-back guarantee.
