The Stam Audio SA-3A-5 brings the solid-state LA-3A optical compression to the compact 500 series format. This module delivers the faster, more aggressive optical character of the LA-3A—quicker attack than the tube-based LA-2A—in a lunchbox-compatible module. The SA-3A-5 is ideal for drum kits, percussion, and any source needing tight optical compression in a compact format. The 500 series format makes it easy to build multi-channel optical compression setups or combine with other Stam modules. The T4-style optical cell provides the same program-dependent response that made the original LA-3A a favorite for drums and guitars.
