The Stam Audio 25609+ is the ultimate mixbus and drumbuss compressor — the iconic Neve 33609 and original API 2500 merged into a single unit. Retains the sidechain of the 33609 and its Carnhill input and interstage transformers while replacing the BA-440 op-amps with SA-2520s and Carnhill output transformers with US-made steel AP2503 replicas. Results in an extremely punchy, mid-forward compressor with the beautiful time constants and huge low end of the 33609. Diode-bridge topology following original "Metal Knob" schematic. Super Slow Mod (20ms attack), fast 2ms attack, 3-position sidechain HPF, transparent mix blend, stepped controls. Linked stereo or dual mono. Hand made in Chile.
