TR-08 Rhythm Composer

TR-08 Rhythm Composer

The Roland TR-808 drum machine has been a staple in drum sequencing for decades. Since its arrival in 1980, it has redefined the approach to drums in hip-hop, new wave, rap, pop and electronic music. You can now get the legendary boom and sizzle of the most famous drum machine ever made in an affordable and modern format with the brand new Roland TR-08. The TR-08 is an ultra-compact recreation of the legendary TR-808 drum machine while still maintaining the sound, character, and user interface of the original TR-808. Built with high-quality construction with a metal front panel. Offering hands-on control of tone, level, tuning, and signal decay, now with the addition of adding compression, gain, enhanced tuning and panning for selected instruments. It includes the classic Step and Tap write modes. The sequencer functions in 16 steps and includes a 16 sub-step level for detailed patterns and rolls. The beats can continue playing even while switching between write modes, which is great for live performance or expanding sequences as you get inspired without stopping playback. An LED has been included for easier navigation and fine control of tempo and shuffle. Ten separate audio channels can be sent out through a single USB cable, no more piles or wiring coming from the back of the unit. This also makes it much easier to integrate into a smaller project studio where there is a limited number of I/O. The TR-08 is also powered by the USB connection or can use four AA batteries. A dedicated track selectable trigger output for controlling external instruments. A built-in powered mini speaker has been added for instant enjoyment or working on the road. Now includes the DK-01 boutique dock for multiple angle viewing.
