StarNet ADA24 24x24 AD/DA Dante Network Converter

The Neve StarNet ADA24 is, a mastering-grade 24x24 Dante analog AD/DA converter designed for uncompromising audio quality and seamless integration into today’s professional recording, broadcast, live sound, and post-production environments. Developed in collaboration with engineers from some of the world’s most respected studios, the ADA24 has been refined through extensive blind listening tests and iterative circuit optimization. The result is a converter engineered to meet the highest standards of transparency, reliability, and performance, allowing modern facilities to deploy pristine analog I/O directly on a Dante audio-over-IP network. MASTERING-GRADE CONVERSION FOR DANTE WORKFLOWS The StarNet ADA24 delivers exceptional sonic accuracy with 32-bit integer resolution and support for sample rates up to 192 kHz. Its high-performance converters achieve up to 119 dBFS dynamic range (ADC) and 122 dBFS (DAC), ensuring detailed, uncolored conversion across every channel. Selectable analog headroom at +18, +24, or +26 dBu allows optimal alignment with any professional system, from modern converters to classic analog consoles, ensuring the ADA24 integrates cleanly into a wide variety of operating environments. PROFESSIONAL ANALOG I/O WITH 88R-DERIVED OUTPUT STAGES Featuring 24 balanced analog inputs and 24 balanced analog outputs via industry-standard DB25 connectors, the ADA24 is designed for effortless connection to patch bays, summing mixers, large-format consoles, and outboard equipment. The analog output path uses the same balanced line-amplification technology found in Neve’s flagship 88RS console, offering: Analog bandwidth in excess of 100 kHz Ability to drive long cable runs without degradation Exceptional common-mode rejection and low noise This ensures pristine analog performance whether installed in a control room, machine room, or remote rack. PRECISION CLOCKING AND LOW-JITTER PERFORMANCE A low-drift crystal oscillator and precision PLL deliver stable, low-jitter clocking essential for critical recording and broadcast applications. The ADA24 can operate as a reliable system master clock, with 75 Ω BNC word clock input and output enabling synchronization across complex studio or facility-wide setups. Combined with DAC jitter-elimination technology, the ADA24 ensures conversion accuracy and long-term clock stability under demanding conditions. REDUNDANT DANTE NETWORKING FOR MISSION-CRITICAL SYSTEMS Dual rear-panel Dante Ethernet ports provide: Primary and Secondary redundancy for uninterrupted operation Switched-mode daisy-chaining for multi-unit networks Smooth integration into complex distributed audio systems In broadcast, live, and large-scale installations, redundancy ensures continuous audio delivery even in the event of a network fault, essential for mission-critical environments. CLEAR MONITORING, CONTROL AND REMOTE OUTPUT MANAGEMENT A front-panel OLED display provides immediate visibility of system parameters including sample rate, bit depth, clock source, network status, and full metering for all analog I/O.Dedicated LEDs indicate signal presence and clipping across all 24 input and output channels. Using the Neve ADA24 Remote App, engineers can remotely manage output attenuation and muting across the network, offering enhanced protection for speakers, amplifiers, and sensitive analog equipment. ENGINEERED FOR RELIABILITY An external universal-voltage power supply and fan-assisted airflow ensure efficient thermal management and stable long-term operation, even in tightly packed racks or high-demand technical facilities. NEVE STARNET ADA24 FEATURES: Mastering-grade 24x24 analog converter for Dante networks Capable of up to 192 kHz sample frequency and 32-bit integer bandwidth Mastering-grade A/D converters deliver a dynamic range of 119 dBFS; pristine D/A converters achieve 122 dBFS dynamic range Low ADC/DAC distortion (<0.0007% ADC, <0.0008 DAC) and a flat frequency response of ±0.1 dBu 5 Hz - 40 kHz (extending to 2 Hz - 92 kHz at ±3 dBu) Analog I/O is provided via four rear-panel DB25 connectors for simple connection to professional analog equipment and studio patch bays Selectable headroom options of +18, 24, or 26 dBu accommodate any digital standard Remote control capabilities for efficient integration into larger facilities
