Soundscape Elite
1995
The Ensoniq Soundscape Elite is the high-end ISA member of the Soundscape family, launched in 1995. It pairs the Ensoniq OTTO wavetable synthesizer (32-note polyphony, 2 MB compressed patch set) and a 68EC000 controller with an added ESP (Ensoniq Signal Processor) daughtercard providing hardware reverb and chorus, addressing the dry sound of the S-2000. It supports 16-bit play/record up to 48 kHz stereo and was regarded as offering the best MIDI sound quality of any Ensoniq PC card.
