The Ensoniq Halo is a 64-voice, 61-key wavetable performance synthesizer released in 2002 - the last product to carry the Ensoniq name after Ensoniq's merger into E-mu Systems, built on E-mu's Proteus 2000 hardware platform. It shipped with a 32 MB ROM soundset (including the ZR-76 Perfect Piano) expandable to 128 MB via three ROM slots, Z-plane multi-mode resonant filters, and a 24-bit dual stereo effects processor. Performance features include 16 real-time controllers, 16 syncable arpeggiators, and E-mu's interactive Beats mode.
