Connect External Hard Disk

Symptoms this guide addresses

  1. Turn all power OFF to the ESI-32 and the external drive.
  2. Connect the external drive to the ESI-32 using a SCSI cable (50-pin Centronics).
  3. Set the SCSI ID of the external drive to a number other than 5.
  4. Turn On the external SCSI device BEFORE the ESI-32.
  5. Turn On the ESI-32.
  6. If the drive is not listed, use the 'Mount Drives' utility (Master/Global, Disk Utilities, 1).
