- Turn OFF power to ESI and SCSI device. 2. Connect SCSI cable (50-pin Centronics) to ESI and device. 3. Set SCSI ID on external device to a number other than 5 or 0 (ESI defaults to 5, Floppy is 0). 4. Turn ON external SCSI device. 5. Turn ON ESI. 6. If drive is not listed, use Master/Global > Disk Utilities > 1. Mount Drives.
