- Connect sound source to input.
- Press the SAMPLE button once to enter level set mode (LED blinks rapidly).
- Adjust Gain switch and Attenuator until the sound causes the Overload LED to light. Back off the attenuator to just below the lighting point.
- Press and hold the SAMPLE button to set the automatic threshold level based on ambient noise.
- Release the SAMPLE button to arm the recorder (LED stays on).
- Make the sound to record. The Emulator will begin recording automatically when the threshold is exceeded.
- The recording lasts two seconds. The LED goes out when finished.
