American professional audio company (Mountain View / Palo Alto, CA). Pioneered digitally controlled analog consoles (Crescendo, CSII, CS2000, CS3000) and later all-digital large-format consoles (System 5, Max Air, S5 Fusion), the R-1 multitrack recorder, and the EuCon control protocol. The Artist Series (MC Mix / Control / Transport / Color) redefined personal-studio DAW control. Acquired by Avid in 2010; the brand was subsequently discontinued.
